The Flipped Classroom Model
Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM (EST)
The flipped classroom model is a growing trend in both K12 and higher education in which traditional class lecture material is delivered to students through short videos outside of class and the class time is spent completing activities and solving problems related to the lecture content. In this session, we will discuss the reasons this pedagogical strategy is gaining so much traction with educators, the best practices to consider in deploying this method of teaching and the how-to skills needed to make it happen. If you are interested in learning more about the flipped classroom or would like to give it a try in one of your courses, this session is for you.
