Event Details

This class be a opertunity to experience 3D subtractive printing first hand.  The Roland MDX-15 CNC will be used to mill pink foam insulation. Materials, and tools will be provided (already included in ticket) in a open structured learning plan. Due to a limited number of workstations for designing, and one CNC machine the class will be limited to 5 people max
 

you would learn how to:

Process the CAM job for Roland output

load foam for milling, operate the mill, trim, edge finish pieces.

How Roland can be used for making metal, plastic, and glass parts though lost foam casting.

 

Project ideas will be provided. Most projects and ideas welcome.

Come and check out the workspace on open house nights mondays and thrusdays after 6pm.

Special project material needs should be communicated at least a week before the workshop. 

About the instructor: Paul Hardin has been working with glass, recycled glass and LED lighting effects with a concentration on fusing and casting large flat works.
