Description of work: Sifitng compost, planting seeds in the greenhouse, prepping beds for planting, cutting potatoes for planting, putting up trellising equipment.
Farm Description: Bethesda Academy Farm & Gardens is a 4.5 acre market garden at Bethesda Academy on the south side of Savannah. The farm is used as an educational experience for the students of the academy. We grow a wide variety of horticultural vegetables and cut flowers. We also have a flock of laying hens for eggs and a small herd of dairy goats whose milk is used to make soap. Our goal is holistic sustainability in all of our practices and we are currently transitional organic. The farm has a market stand open for sales on Thursdays from 3-5:30 during the growing season.
