An Envelope Professional certification from the Building Performance Institute (BPI) is an important qualification to assure your customers that you are qualified and capable of improving the thermal and pressure boundaries of their home. In addition, this BPI certification, in conjunction with the BPI Building Analyst certification, will make your company eligible to apply for BPI Accreditation. Our BPI Envelope Professional Training is ideal for home inspectors, general contractors, HVAC technicians, insulation professionals, engineers, architects and other individuals interested in the energy-related aspects of a building's exterior.
What you'll learn:
CleanEdison's 18-hour Envelope Professional course focuses on the thermal and pressure boundaries of a building as well as ways to enhance the building envelope through insulation and air-sealing techniques. This course offers trainees the opportunity to understand not only how to analyze a home, but why the process is important. Participants will learn to identify building envelope problems and their causes including moisture, ice dams, mildew and drafts in order to prevent them from developing again in the future.

BPI Certification:
This course prepares participants to sit for the two-hour 100 question written exam and perform the two-hour field test for BPI Building Analyst certification. A passing score on the written exam and successful completion of the field exam will earn the candidate the nationally recognized BPI Envelope Professional certification.
