GUFC WORKSHOP:  THE BASICS OF TREE BIOLOGY WITH ROB SWANSON, CERTIFIED ARBORIST

Join us on Tuesday, March 9, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Douglasville Conference Center for a "Basics of Tree Biology" seminar with Rob Swanson.  This information-packed three hours will include topics such as tree anatomy, tree physiology, energy systems in trees, tree selection, tree planting (bare root, container, and balled and burlapped), the application of tree anatomy and physiology as it relates to the White Oak, canopy pruning, root pruning, soil fertilization and amendments, mature tree care (building around mature trees, special needs of the elderly tree, and a Q & A session.   CEUs applied for.   The Douglasville Conference Center is located in Historic Downtown Douglasville, near the Welcome Center, at 6701 Church St., Douglasville, GA  30134.  The registration fee is $30 for members and $40 for non-members.
