Workday Information
Who: Volunteers of all ages are welcome; minors under 18 require a signed waiver and children 12 require an accompanying adult unless prior approval is obtained from the workday supervisor. For groups of 5 or more, please contact Junko Bryant, junkob@acterra.org, before signing up.
What: Volunteers will help with habitat enhancement by planting native plants along Permanente Creek.
Where: The workday will take place on the Permanente Creek Trail (see above map) in the city of Mountain View on Google Campus, between Charleston Avenue and Amphitheatre Parkway. Directions should be set to the intersection of Charleston and Alta in Mountain View.
Parking Directions:
From the South:
-Take 101 North and exit Amphitheatre Pkwy
-Veer right onto Amphitheatre.
-Take an immediate right onto Charleston.
-After you pass Landings Rd, the next street is Alta. Take a left on Alta into the Google parking lot.
-Take another immediate left into the parking area, and then turn right into the main portion of the parking lot.
-Look for the white Acterra van in the parking lot and our folding sign-in table.
From the North:
-Take 101 South and exit Rengstorff
-Keep right at the fork, following signs for Amphitheatre Pkwy, and merge onto Rengstorff
-Take a right onto Charleston.
-After you pass Landings Rd, the next street is Alta. Take a left on Alta into the Google parking lot.
-Take another immediate left into the parking area, and then turn right into the main portion of the parking lot.
-Look for the white Acterra van in the parking lot and our folding sign-in table.
Please bring: A reusable water bottle and dress for outdoor work (sturdy shoes and long pants recommended, please wear clothes that you won't mind getting dirty). We provide gloves and tools. Minors under 18 must bring a waiver form signed by a parent.
