CleanEdison's 5-day Certified Energy Manager Training course is designed to provide the specific Training and background needed by professionals preparing to sit for the CEM exam. It includes an in-depth overview of the most recent federal energy legislation, new energy efficiency equipment standards for commercial buildings, building commissioning basics, and critical indoor air quality considerations. The course will review the technical, economic, and regulatory aspects of effective energy management and the basics of energy efficiency improvement as it relates to electrical, utility, building and combustion systems.

AEE Certification

This Energy Manager Course prepares participants to sit for the 4 hour open-book CEA exam. A 70% on the exam will earn the candidate the internationally-recognized Certified Energy Manager Certification from the Association of Energy Engineers.

Prerequisites:

The Association of Energy Engineers requires certain levels of education and job experience to be eligible to sit for the Certified Energy Manager exam. Please review them below

• 4-year degree in engineering or architecture OR Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Registered Architect (R.A.) AND 3+ years of experience in energy engineering or energy management.
• 4-year degree in environmental science, physics or earth science management AND 4+ years of experience in energy engineering or energy management.
• 4-year degree in business management AND 5+ years of experience in energy engineering or energy management.
• 2-year energy management associate's degree AND 6+ years of experience in energy engineering or energy management.
• 2-year technical associate's degree in energy management AND 8+ years of experience in energy engineering or energy management.
• No experience in energy management AND 10+ years of experience in energy engineering or energy management.
