Prepare yourself for a “FUN” workshop! 

PAINTING WITH PAPERS    Create a collage, working from a preliminary black and white design to a full color collage.  Emphasis will be given to composition and some unusual color schemes.  The work may be “washed in” with watercolor first, then collaged, and if desired paint in additional passages.  We will make our papers by painting them.

Materials: 

white tissue paper and white rice papers

watercolors

white gouache

old brush for gluing

Elmer or gel medium (gloss or matte)/and container for them

Paper towels

interesting objects labels, stamps, odd things, etc.)

TO COLLAGE ON: Illustration board  (best)….12 x 14, 16 x 20,

or 40 lb. w/c paper, or acid free matte board

Jackie will provide materials to make the black and white design.

Participants may want to prepare some colored papers ahead of time by painting white tissue paper or rice paper with a variety of colors and tear into pieces.
