Understanding and Preventing Bullying In Schools and in Cyberspace, a program for parents and educators of school-aged children. Featuring: -Stanley Fagen, Ph.D., JSSA Clinical Child Psychologist -Larissa de Graffenreid, LCSW, JSSA Child Therapist -Heidi Cohen, LCSW-C, JSSA Child Therapist JSSA experts can help answer: What is the difference between teasing and bullying? How do I recognize the signs that a child is at risk of being bullied or bullying? What can we do to keep cyberbullying out of our homes and schools? Are there proven ways to help “bullyproof” our children? _________________________________________________ Bullying, whether face to face or in cyberspace, is an all too frequent event which has damaging educational and social-emotional consequences for our children. This program will explain the nature of bullying and how to recognize signs and symptoms of bullying and being bullied. Our expert panel will offer practical recommendations to help parents, students and educators prevent and overcome bullying - both in the classroom and in cyberspace - and will provide useful print and web resources.
