Day-long Course
When: Friday February 15, 2013 at Fairmont Campus, Special Dining Room
Who is Invited?:
We invite all Nurses and Nurse Assistants from Highland and Fairmont campuses. We also invite Social Work, Respiratory Therapists and other health-care staff members interested in learning more about Palliative Concepts and how to improve care for all our patients. Many changes have been made to the curriculum from last years’ course.
Course Curriculum will include Pain and Symptom Management, Communication, Cultural Sensitivity, Spiritual Care, and Palliative Nursing in the Final Hours. Attendees will receive 7.0 CEU’s and lunch will be provided.
Please talk to your Charge nurse or Manager about your interest in attending one of the two dates offered and they will help you to schedule the ed leave time off.
Taught By our ELNEC (End of Life Nursing Education Consortium) trained staff and Palliative Care team: Linda Bulman PA, Cheryl Massey RN, Sheira Freedman, MD, Betty Clark, MDIV, Anne James, SW.
