FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who can participate? Almost anyone can do this because we can adjust the ride depending on your experience level. We make if fun for non-riders and expert riders alike. We accept children as young as 3. Our only restriction is that you must weight under 240 lbs. Sorry, no exceptions.
You will have a horse AND a personal guide. If you know how to ride then you can ride on the beach without a guide, but everyone has a guide in the water.
Do we ride bareback? Yes! We use bareback pads which are more comfortable than sitting directly on the horse (but no stirrups). English and western-style saddles are available, but cannot be taken into the salt water. Please let us know ahead of time if you want a saddle.
Are Photographs and Videos available? Professional-quality still images and videos (see below) are available here.
Horse Surfing - If you weigh less than 150 lbs and wish to try
standing up on your horse (totally optional), your guide will teach you how to horse surf like a local for no extra charge. Horse Surfing was invented right here at Palma Sola Bay in Bradenton, FL! (see video below)
Price - Does not include 6.5% FL sales tax and Eventbrite booking fee(s).
Refunds - All tickets are non-refundable.
Ticket Availability - To control quality and safety, we only sell 4 tickets for each event. If you need more than 4 tickets, please call us at 941-907-7272 before purchasing your tickets. We have more than 4 horses, but we would like to speak with you before we agree to bring more than 4 horses to the beach.
Rain - We reserve the right to cancel your ride due to inclement weather. If we decide to cancel due to weather, we will give you a rain check that can be used up to one year later. You must be present and ready to ride at your scheduled time of departure to be eligible for a rain check.
Cold - During the winter months we occasionally are forced to cancel the beach rides due to cold temperatures. If that happens, we will offer you a rain check for a 1-hour beach ride or a 2-hour trail ride. Rain checks can be used on the same day or up to a year after the date of your originally scheduled ride.
Schedule - Please don't be late for your ride. Your ticket is good only for the times stated above. Your ride will end at the scheduled time regardless of what time you arrive. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure to sign release forms, ask questions, and prepare for your ride.
Rescheduling - If you need to reschedule your ride, there is a $10 per ticket rebooking fee. Other restrictions apply. Please read our Terms and Conditions prior to booking.
