The tobacco industry has been lying to the public for over a century about how dangerous their products are.  Many died because of these lies.

We need your help to prevent cancer, heart disease, and the many other diseases caused by tobacco use.

Description:  Scrapbooking workshop

Come add a page to our Tobacco Victims Scrapbook to demonstrate how you or a loved one has been affected by tobacco.  You may make a duplicate page to take home.

Includes: 

·         All scrapbooking materials.  Please bring pictures, poems, short stories, or anything else you feel contributes to a respectful memorial of the person's life.

·         Refreshments.

·         A small scrapbooking kit to take home (one per family) as a thank-you gift.

Purpose:  To encourage community members to participate in tobacco prevention activities. 

Things you need to know:

·         Advance registration is required.

·         This event is FREE.

·         This event is mainly for adults, but teenagers may attend if registered in advance and accompanied by an adult.

·         This event is limited to residents of Herkimer, Oneida, and Madison Counties.

·         Registrants are added to our private, confidential monthly e-newsletter list.  The e-newsletter informs you about our projects and ways you can support tobacco prevention (usually by writing letters or emails to policymakers). 

·         There is never any obligation, we are not selling anything, no one else will see or have access to your information, and we will never ask you for a donation. 

If interested, you will be trained to conduct this activity in your own neighborhood, church, or club!  Volunteers may be eligible for Presidential Volunteer Service Awards.
