Per our conversation after the last San Francisco meeting, we are going to talk about how to identify where to engage with your community and how to go about joining the conversation.
(1) How do we create networks?
(2) How do we create value in our networks?
(3) How do we define value?
(4) How do you talk/ connect with others in your network?
(5) How do you find existing networks and make a decision to get involved?
(6) If you have a community how do you balance the "engineered" network vs. the "organic"?
Jeremiah Owyang had an [http://www.web-strategist.com/blog/2007/04/05/term-affinity-group/ interesting post] about using the term "Affinity Group" for web communities
The event is FREE to attend, though you must pre-register here so we can prepare the space for your arrival.
We are also looking for volunteers to lead discussions, and for support from
local businesses and/or individuals to cover drinks and snacks at the
meetings. Please contact socialmediaclub [at] gmail [dot] com if you
would like to support your local chapter.
