The Georgetown teen ice driving school is held on the frozen surface of Georgetown lake. Participants in this school will receive classroom instruction as well as plenty of driving instruction on the ice. Participants will put their cars through exercises on varied snow and ice conditions on track, honing their skills on the icy surface of the lake doing organized drills.

• Track/facility use and instruction
• Lunch day of the event

Registration for this school will be limited to the first 18 students to sign up. If you have made arrangements with another registrant to share a vehicle, please note it in the event registration information. This school is open to all licensed and permitted teens, ACNA membership is NOT required. However, parents signing up as well will need to be members of  Audi Club of North America.

Vehicle requirements: 

There are no restrictions on the type of vehicle used, we encourage participants to use the car they will be using during their everyday driving during this school.

Prior to going on track, ALL vehicles must pass a tech inspection, form can be downloaded by clicking here. Vehicles with ANY fluid leaks will not be allowed.

Good snow tires or all-season tires are strongly recommended, studded tires are permitted. Tires must be DOT certified. 

Participant requirements:

All participants must be minimum 15 years of age, and have a driving permit, or driving license.

Parent participation:

Parents are welcome to attend the morning classroom session, however we ask that only teens participate while in-car exercises are conducted. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the event master.

Cancellation information: 

This event is conditional on the weather/conditions at the facility. If the event is cancelled due to weather/facility issues a pro-rated refund will be given to all registrants.
