Studio Music Workshop with Joshua Brody and Barbara Scott (#1274)

Schedule: 4 sessions; once a week for four weeks
Class Time/Dates: 2:30-5:30pm; Saturdays, February 6, 13, 20, & 27 (open workshop last day)
Class size: 10 students maximum
Class length: 3 hours (12 hours total)
Prerequisite: Foundation 2 + Dean Approval (IMPORTANT: CLICK HERE BEFORE REGISTERING)

This four-session workshop is designed to teach the basic principals of how to create improvised solos, duets and choruses based on titles. We break down the challenge of singing a song into its basics - breathing, ear and voice training, rhyme and rhythm exercises. The last day of class includes an open workshop where you can invite friends and relatives to see you sing songs based on their suggestions. The open workshop will take place the last half of the class and is free.

BATS Improv Class Refund Policy:

Your class tuition includes a non-refundable deposit:

- $50 for series classes
- $10 for specialty workshops
- 20% for summer intensives and youth/teen camps

If you have registered for a class and decide you want to drop that class AT LEAST 14 DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS SESSION, you may choose to receive a refund for the amount of the class minus your non-refundable deposit OR you may choose to reapply your payment IN FULL to another BATS class. Classes dropped 4-13 days before the start of the class are not eligible for the re-application of full payment to another class. You may either reapply your payment (minus the applicable deposit) or receive a partial refund. This option is not available for those enrolled in summer intensives or youth/teen camps. Regular classes/workshops dropped within 72 hours of the first class session, or summer intensives and youth/teen camps dropped within two weeks of the first session, are not eligible for either re-application or any refund.
