Spring Preaching Workshop - Application-Saturated Sermons
Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (EDT)
Dr. Randy Pelton will be hosting the Spring Preaching Workshop titled “Application-Saturated Sermons: Creating Sermons/Lessons that Apply Life to the Bible from Start to Finish”. Pastors and adult Sunday School teachers who often teach without curriculum are invited to participate. This seminar is designed to show how each sermon segment can contain elements of application. Dr. Pelton will demonstrate how to move from the meaning of a preaching portion to its application and also how to place the primary application into the sermon's introduction, main points, and conclusion. This helps rid sermons/lessons from lengthy dead spots devoid of relevance. The workshop format of minimal lecture with maximum examples allows participants to attempt to implement this approach. Please consider attending this informative event or recommending the homiletics training opportunity to your pastor and lay leaders.
For more information, please call 717.560.8282. Enrollment is limited to 20 students so secure your spot early. The deadline to register is Monday, March 18.
