Short Description: Create a 16 x 20 acrylic painting on canvas of a Tulsa landmark. Full Description: Participants will learn to sketch their chosen subject onto a canvas using stencils to aid with proportions. Participants will then learn to mix colors using acrylic paints and fill in their pieces while learning about shading techniques and depth. Finally, paint markers and puff paint will be used to capture fine details and create texture. Working from photographs, participants will have their choice of subject matter. Possible subjects include Cain's Ballroom, the Tulsa Driller, a Utica Square phone booth and more.
