Join five (5) of Edmonton’s top women chefs : Christine Sandford (Culina Millcreek), Danielle Majeau (Creole Envie), Doreen Prei (Petroleum Club), Heather Dosman (Canteen, Three Boars), and Tracy Zizek (Café de Ville) as they prepare heart-healthy comfort foods for your tasting pleasure.

On being a member of the all-female Taking it to Heart culinary team: This event is a wonderful creative challenge for a charitable foundation that I have always supported. Collaborating with other chefs in the city is great for our food community, creative inspiration and job perspective!

On being a member of the all-female Taking it to Heart culinary team: Heart health, especially the impact of a healthy diet, is a very important subject for women. As a feminist, I think this is a unique opportunity for us as female chefs to share our passion and support the education and awareness of heart disease with other women. Plus, I am excited to get creative, and get out and have some fun. Chefs are always stuck in the kitchen, now we get to meet new people and share our love of food.

On being a member of the all-female Taking it to Heart culinary team: I love working with both men and women, but I was happy to see an event that showcases females, because lets be honest, there's a much larger numberof male chefs out there. I really think women are starting to get up there in the chef world, and I'm always happy to support that. I also thought it was an awesome team they put together and cooking heart healthy is a good challenge, so I was eager to participate.

What Taking it to Heart means to you: I don't know very many of the female chefs in the city so it is great way to meet and connect with them.
