In result of the cancelled February 9th date due to the snow storm, Portofilio Redefined has been rescheduled for April 20, 2013. This event will be held at the same location as previously scheduled, Parsons The New School for Design, at 66 W. 12th Street.
Please re-register for this event ASAP to ensure your spot for this event.
Portfolio Redefined is for all high school juniors who are preparing an art and design portfolio for college admission. Join Parsons, MAD and the Joan Mitchell Foundation for a portfolio development day at Parsons on April 20, 2013 that is devoted to workshopping ideas and practices for building a competitive portfolio for college submission. The day includes hands-on "how to sessions" on documenting work and writing portfolio submissions and roundtable discussions with working artists, designers and other art professionals. Artists and curators will share projects and give guidance to students. In the workshop students will have an opportunity to conceptualize and develop an idea and then discuss ways to turn it into a body of work.
