Apple iOS Workshop (Note: a Mac is required for hands on coding)- Are you interested in application development for one of the most popular hand-held devices? The industry-leading Apple iOS supports such devices as the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad. In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of coding for iOS and will focus on using industry standards to plan, design and develop a working application.

Android Workshop- Google's Android operating system has done well as a leader in the tablet and smartphone market. In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of coding for Android and will focus on using industry-standard tools to plan, design and develop a working application.

Windows Phone Workshop- While a slow starter in the phone and tablet business, Microsoft has the talent and experience to soon become the juggernaut that all others will work to compete against or collaborate with in both the smartphone and tablet markets.  In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of coding for Windows Phone and will focus on using industry-standard tools to plan, design and develop a working application.

Mobile Web Workshop- Smart businesses seek to keep their Internet image fresh and relevant to their customers. By integrating new technologies such as modern tablets and smartphones into their marketing plans and web development, businesses can better position themselves by providing new content, context-sensitive controls and modern multimedia elements. In this workshop, you'll focus on learning the basics of web coding in HTML5; the current industry-standard, and gain helpful techniques and experience using modern web development tools.

NEW! Coding Lab- Attendees of our previous Phoenix Mobile Code Camp asked for hands-on coding opportunities. Here's what you've asked for: lab attended by a seasoned University of Phoenix programming instructor, where you can analyze, pick apart and construct the coding examples provided by our presenters, or  gain guidance to build your own!

NEW! Agile Development & Scrum Topics (am only)- A popular software development method, the Agile SDLC development model allows cross-functional teams to collaborate to continuously update projects through various development iterations; aimed at accelerating delivery.  In this workshop, you’ll understand that planning, requirements analysis, design, development, testing and implementation/delivery are each still present as with the traditional waterfall SDLC methodology, but greatly augmented by an integrated feedback loop. You’ll also learn about Scrum, one of the latest Agile methodologies, which introduces terms such as burndown, user stories and the sprint.

NEW! Cloud-Based App Development Workshop (pm only)-A very popular topic today is the cloud, which serves as a critical component of mobile application development: the centralized storage and processing point for your data.  Utilizing the cloud effectively and understanding what tools are available will help you achieve and maintain an edge within the mobile development sphere.  In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of building apps in the cloud, including using JavaScript, the JSON data format and the MongoDB database. You'll learn how to store your application in the cloud using the Amazon SimpleDB cloud database and explore a number of options available as platform-as-a-service offerings.
