NORTH AMERICAN PONY/TRAINER 2013

Mission Statement


The North American Pony/Trainer Contest is a celebration of a Pony and Trainer team or a single Pony or a single Trainer, and their enthusiasm and knowledge in the vast world of pony play.  The winner(s) of this contest will go forth to share their knowledge and love of pony play through teaching and mentoring those within the leather and fetish communities.


This is a Leather Title Contest, not a Pony Show.  The Judging Criteria will include an Interview, Community Interaction during the weekend, a 20 minute on stage Presentation followed by a Question and Answer period (The Q & A is for the Trainer and the Pony.  Ponies need to be out of Pony headspace and not wearing any head gear for the Q & A), and a Performance (any and all styles of show are welcome).



Contest Rules
 
Below are 6 responsibilities and requirements that contestants (pony and trainer) must agree to and meet:
 
1.    Must be 21 years of age at the time of the contest in order to enter.
2.    Must complete all portions of the contest listed below. (See below.)
3.    Must provide an auction basket to be raffled off for the winner’s travel fund.
4.    Must be willing to teach at least 3 classes/presentations/workshops over the course of the title year.
5.    Must be a Pony/Trainer team who have worked together previously or a single Pony or a single Trainer.
6.    Must be present to step down at the North American Pony/Trainer 2014 Contest.

Judging Criteria (200 possible pts.)
 
1.    Interview (50 pts.)
The interview is a closed door interview with the Judges.


2.    Community Interaction (50 pts.)
This begins from the moment you are seen during the weekend. How do you react to the community? Are you shy and withdrawn? Do you engage others in conversation? Are you having FUN? Your ability to be a positive role model for the pony play community is very important.
 
3.    On Stage Presentation and Question and Answer (50 pts.)
Each Pony/Trainer or single Pony or single Trainer will receive a narrow topic pertaining to pony play Friday night. You are to give a 20 minute presentation on this topic Saturday afternoon.  Following your presentation will be a Question and Answer period.  The Question will be of a type that a new or curious person might ask of you during the title year. The Q & A is for the Trainer and the Pony.  Ponies need to be out of Pony headspace and not wearing any head gear.
 
4.    Show (50 pts.)
This is the public highlight. Time to shine. On Saturday night at 10 PM it’s time to put your best hoof forward and show the audience any or all of the cool tricks you’ve learned and practiced. Any and all styles of show are welcomed.  If you are a single Pony or single Trainer, there will be a list of LA Pony and Critter Club Pony/Trainers you may elect to perform with.
 
 
Show Rules
1.    The Show is for any Pony and Trainer or a single Pony or single Trainer participating in the contest.

2.    Must be 21 years of age.

3.    Your performance must be no longer than 5 minutes.

4.    Have FUN.



Event Schedule:


Friday  August 2, 2013  $20 for Friday only ticket online before July 1st, 2013.

8 PM

Meet and Greet for Contestant's and Judges with beverages and appetizers



9:00 PM  Event is Open to the public.

Auction baskets will be on display for viewing.  The Auction is held Saturday, August 3rd at 11:30  PM.

Main Room
     9PM          Corral Open for Pony Play

     9:30 PM   The Queen's Cup Event


     10 PM      Introduction of Judges and Contestant's and the Drawing of presentation topics for each contestant.  The Presentations begin Saturday, August 3rd at 1 PM.

     
    11PM  Barrel Racing

                There will be a sign up sheet for participants.  This is not a judged nor competitive event.  It is the opportunity to experience this type of Pony Play.

     11:30 PM  Stake Racing

                There will be a sign up sheet for participants.  This is not a judged nor competitive event.  It is the opportunity to experience this type of Pony Play.
               

     Midnight  Pole Bending

               There will be a sign up sheet for participants. This is not a judged nor competitive event. It is the opportunity to experience this type of Pony Play.


Side rooms are open for BDSM play

Saturday, August 3, 2013  $20 for Saturday DAY Only ticket online before July 1st, 2013.

In Main Room:

9 am - Noon  Pony Play Space open for practice.  There will be a sign up sheet for reservation of time in corral.



1 PM  20 minutes Presentations in Main Room by Contestant's of topics given out Friday night, followed by Open Public Q & A


4 PM  Pony Cart Obstacle Course

     There will be a sign up sheet for participants.  This is not a judged nor competitive event.  It is the opportunity to experience this type of Pony Play.

5 PM  Hunter/Jumper  Course

     There will be a sign up sheet for participants.  This is not a judged nor competitive event.  It is the opportunity to experience this type of Pony Play.
