Winter 2010 Weekday Beginner’s Mandarin Class

The Chinese Culture Center annually offers four sessions of Mandarin classes for adults and for children.

The Mandarin Class teaching style is interactive with an emphasis on spoken language for practical use, and some character learning. Students participate in simple conversations and respond to visual tools for vocabulary building. The teacher is a native of China, and an experienced, professional teacher with a degree in language education. This is an enthusiastic teacher who makes learning fun for students of all levels. Adult classes emphasize conversational Mandarin basics, Chinese cultural practices, and some essential characters. Beginner Mandarin Class - For absolute beginners, or those with very limited Mandarin background.

Beginner Class schedule: January 12, 2010 – March 25, 2010, every Tuesday & Thursday, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, break from February 13 to 19 (Week of Chinese New Year Day and Presidents Day). Tuition: $350 per person for CCC members and $375 for non-CCC members ALL CLASSES ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. All transactions are final, no refunds, no exceptions. The Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco is a major community-based, non-profit organization established in 1965 to foster the understanding and appreciation of Chinese and Chinese American art, history, and culture in the United States. The facilities of the Center, totaling 20,000 square feet, include a 299-seat auditorium, a 2,935 square-foot gallery, book shop, classroom, and offices.
