Event Details

The Chinese Culture Center annually offers Mandarin classes for adults and for children. The emphasis for teaching children Mandarin is on learning a beginning Mandarin vocabulary through songs, games and story telling in a fun and relaxed environment. This is not an immersion program and English is also spoken in the classroom. The children will work on Mandarin vocabulary appropriate to their level of learning. Simple words and phrases and some character recognition is taught through worksheets and stories of China.There is discussion and introduction to Chinese culture through crafts and songs. Class size is limited to 10 students.

Children's Class schedule: January 9, 2010 – March 27, 2010, every Saturday, 10:00 am to 11:30 am, break from February 13 to 19 (Week of Chinese New Year Day and Presidents Day). Tuition: $175 per person for CCC members and $200 for non-CCC members ALL CLASSES ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.
