This class is held Monday through Wednesday from 10am to 4pm each day. Lunch will be provided.

This class is designed for teachers who want to introduce the Arduino microcontroller into their curriculum.The Arduino microcontroller is a wonderful next step for students who are already familiar with the Lego platform and would like to move to a more standard control platform. Arduino is open source and inexpensive, making it the perfect upgrade for students interested in creating interactive devices. The Arduino platform is also perfect for art classes that would like to incorporate interactivity into kinetic art.

The first day of the class is spent getting you--the teacher--up to speed working with the platform. The second day of class we run through exercises that you can do with your students. On the last day of the class, we help you develop a plan to integrate the arduino board into your curriculum. You will also leave with a list of resources to help you find additional parts and materials.

Included in the cost of the class is an Arduino board, components and motors- a $100 value.
