Event Details

The 2009 Medicare Open Enrollment period is from November 15-December 31.  During this period, it is important for Medicare beneficiaries or persons who assist them—including family members, caregivers, or advocates—to review the beneficiaries’ health and prescription drug coverage.

Anyone who wants to learn how to use Medicare online tools and resources to assist in comparing options for health and prescription drug coverage will be able to learn how to do so from 7:00-8:30 PM on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at the Adventist Medical Center.  At that time, representatives of the Seattle Regional Office of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will demonstrate how to use the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan Finder and Medicare Options Compare tools at www.medicare.gov to comparison shop and choose the option that best meets the beneficiaries’ needs.

As a reminder, during the coming Medicare Open Enrollment period, beneficiaries without access to the internet or someone to assist them in person may request personal assistance in reviewing their health and prescription drug coverage by calling 1-800-Medicare (1-800-633-4227).

There is free parking in the lot to the left of the main entrance of Adventist Medical Center.  Please reserve parking spaces closest to the medical center for patients, visitors, and people with disabilities.
