Event Details

Thank you for your patience as we scheduled the online orientations. Please keep in mind that is a brand new technology for us, so we will be learning as we go along.

In order to attend an online orientation, you must have a complete, accepted application. Please do not forward this invitation to friends or family who have not gone through the application process for TEAMS, as they will not be able to participate.

The process for online orientations is the same as for physical ones: RSVP for your preferred time and then show up, except this time, its online.

Technology Requirements:

In order to participate in the online orientation, you’ll need some things. We will not have a physical orientation, so this your chance to join TEAMS for this year.

  • Internet connection
  • Phone line
  • Ability to connect to the web conferencing site (www.dimdim.com).

It works on both Mac and PC but for PC, be sure to use Internet Explorer. To be safe, make sure that yore computer has the latest updates. If you experience technical problems before or during the meeting, we have limited ability to help solve them.

Online Meeting Tips

  • First of all, please select a quiet place to be during the conference call. Dialing *6 during the session will mute your phone so the rest of us cannot hear background noise, like kids asking for dinner, the television or the radio. It ensures that the rest of us can hear the presentation and we do not hear any embarrassing sounds or conversations on your end.
  • If you have questions, please type them into the “Chat” function so everyone can see it and it can be answered publicly. Online meetings are notorious for bad telephone reception, so I will be doing the narration for the orientation, and please ask questions on the chat. Easier and less confusion.
  • If you are new to this technology, it’s very cool, but the rules of the online meeting are the same as a face to face meeting. Pay attention to the content (even though we can’t see you) and participate as necessary.
