Physicians in Ohio are struggling with substance abuse use and other behavioral issues, which may be reportable to the State Medical Board for intervention. The educational course will educate providers on the One Bite Rule, which is an important one time exception for physicians that allows them to avoid State Medical Board reporting and intervention by following regulatory guidelines.

* Raise awareness to the issues of professional and personal stress, burnout, and impairment.
* Discuss signs and symptoms associated with Substance Use Disorders (SUD) in healthcare professionals, and describe how to assist colleagues who may have a SUD or other issues impacting their health and well-being.
* Review Ohio State Medical Board Reporting and Exemption Rule and its importance to licensees.
* Review services available through the Ohio Physicians Health Program.
