Workshop: Managing online PR programmes

Online PR is becoming increasingly influential and established as a key element in the way we build relationships with stakeholders. As organisations start to use multiple online communications channels and increasingly integrate online and offline; the management of online PR programmes has become an increasingly key requirement. This workshop draws on emerging best practice and will include additional input from an industry specialist.

Topics

• Planning and evaluation of the online campaign. Providing a benchmark to monitor the development of the programme
• Setting targets
• Linkage between online and offline aspects of the programme
• Overall approach to the online programme – push and pull. Conversation and collaboration. What is appropriate to the culture of the organisation
• What are the features of different online channels?
• Implementing and managing multiple online channels – what issues?
• Resource implications
• Managing external consultancies/agencies in online campaigns
• Monitoring and evaluation.

Learning Outcomes

This workshop provides delegates with an understanding of how to implement online PR programmes in the context of a more conversational and collaborative approach to communications. It provides an opportunity to benchmark against emerging best practice and gives a detailed overview of the management process.
