Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (PT)
The Speed Reading class is 1-hr in length and will be held on the Berkeley campus. The workshop begins by the person finding out his or her reading speed. After that, for most of the class, we'll do drills & exercises specifically geared to help boost reading speed and comprehension on the spot. This will entice people to read more due to the result of reading and comprehending at a faster pace. By the end of the session, we measure everyone's speeds and most make an improvement by this point. Additionally, we'll show the people an interesting application (a free add-on for the Firefox browser) to help them read faster on the computer screen.
