The Presenter:

Nancy has been with Moss Adams since June 2006 and is part of the Business Assurance Services Group.  She is responsible for managing audits and fraud investigations of various industry groups.  Previously, Nancy worked for the Oregon Secretary of State Audits Division as an Audit Manager.  During her ten years with the division she was responsible for managing the Divisions Fraud, Waste & Abuse hotline and fraud investigations team. 

Nancy's fraud investigation experience includes detecting schemes related to payroll, disbursements (check and credit card schemes), revenue, contracting, and federal funding.  Nancy has conducted fraud investigation work in various industry groups including dealerships; financial institutions; health care; manufacturing and distribution; and state, local, and tribal governments.  Nancy has co-authored a guide on fraud in the dealership industry that was released in 2010. 

Nancy participates in various speaking engagements on fraud.  In 2012, she spoke at the National Auto Dealers Association Conference in San Francisco, and various Oregon Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants industry conferences.

Nancy is also an adjunct professor at Portland State University teaching Forensic and Investigative Accounting. 

Nancy is a Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Information Systems Auditor.  She earned a MBA from Portland State University in 2006 and a B.S Degree in Business Management and Communications from Corban College in 1996.
