This is just one of the tasting notes for this outstanding line-up of premium shirazes. Guild Director Robert White has spent two years collecting these wines, virtually all from the Classics Collections with some from as early as 2003. This tasting cannot be repeated as a full eight of the wines have been rated by the experts as 96 or above - including the very hard to get Glaetzer Amon-Ra, with microscopic yields of 0.5 tons per acre this wine was rated 97-100 by Jay Miller. We will also see wines from such renowned producers as Jim Barry, Yalumba, Kay Brothers, R Wines and Rolf Binder.  Premium shirazes are elegant and complex wines that rank as some of the best in the world today and dispels the notion that only “fruit bombs’ are made in Australia.
