BMC West is offering a free half day of education and millwork plant tour to Architects and Designers of north Texas. Marvin Windows and Trustile Doors will be offering courses approved for 2 AIA-CES credits (HSW) or 0.1 ASID-CEU credit. Following lunch, there will be a tour of the world-class custom and production mill facility. Events may be attended individually.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Trustile Door Presentation | Mitch Morris 1 AIA-CES or 0.1 ASID-CEU
This course will provide a detailed overview of the stile and rail construction method, its history of use in the United States, and its important role in door design. This course also includes a comprehensive survey of MDF and its characteristics of use in stile and rail door applications.
Marvin Windows Presentation | Christy Allen 1 AIA-CES (HSW)
This presentation provides a general overview of best practice installation procedures for wood windows, aluminum clad windows, and structural installations; including a discussion on opening and unit preparations. Special installation considerations for round top windows and sliding doors are also presented.
