Certified Scrum Developer Track
To become a Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) as authorized by the Scrum Alliance, the person must either obtain the CSM certification and take and pass the Agile Engineering Practices 3-day course, or take the Introduction to Scrum for Developers, Agile Engineering Practices, and an Elective.
This training course will fulfill the Elective requirement for the CSD Track.
Learning Objective: Agile Elective course - Distributed Development with Scrum (1 day – 8 hours/PDUs)
Who Should Take This Course
This training is for IT Professionals that support software development projects. This set of courses will benefit architects; business analysts, developers; QA testers and engineers, and project/product managers. Familiarity with basic Object-Oriented (OO) concepts and terminology is recommended.

Schedule
M – F, Time: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Lunch 12:00 – 1:00 PM, Continental Breakfast 8:30am to 9am, Refreshments served throughout the day)
Day 1: Distributed Development with Scrum
Morning Session (8:30am to noon): Distributed Scrum Development Overview – Introduction to advantages and disadvantages of offsite/onsite development. Techniques for enabling communication with distributed team members, and how to build trust.
Afternoon Session (1pm to 3:30pm): Distributed Scrum Practices – Discussion of techniques/approaches to implement for sprints and software development. Also, an in-depth discussion of how the Product Owner, ScrumMaster, and the team can work together in a collaborative environment despite being remote.
Evening Session (3:30pm to 5pm): Case Study – Case study discussion where the class discusses solutions to the Distributed Development with Scrum given the context. The Case study will vary from class to class.
