Microsoft Windows 8 and Startup Weekend are joining forces to help developers and entrepreneurs become more successful!
We know that during a Startup Weekend event there isn't a lot of time to learn new things. You come in with the tools you have in your belt, and you do the best you can with those. But sometimes those tools aren't enough, which is why we're running this pre-Startup Weekend technical bootcamp.
The Startup Weekend Windows 8 Developer Camp is a fun, no-fluff event for developers, by developers. You’ll learn from experts in a low-key, interactive way how to leverage skills you probably already have (HTML5/JavaScript) to create rich, interactive apps ready for the Windows 8 store, and ready for Sunday’s final demo of what you’ve accomplished at Startup Weekend.
You don’t want to go to camp without “being prepared”. The Windows 8 Boot Camp is all about learning from experts and getting hands on training. We highly recommend that you bring your own laptop and have it preloaded with all the tools and SDKs on the Downloads Page. If you have a MAC please see the Setup instructions HERE.
The Bootcamp will take place from 5:30pm - 9:30pm (CST) at Catapult (321 N. Clark St. Suite 2550 Chicago, IL 60654).
