Join ASTD Midlands for Today's Leadership Challenge

Leaders, not managers, are needed to guide organizations and institutions through today’s challenges. This talk explains why, and quickly illustrates the difference between managing and leading. In short, a manager plans, organizes, budgets, staffs, controls, and solves problems. A leader defines what the future looks like, aligns people with that vision, and inspires them to make it happen.
Finally, Dale shares the characteristics of effective leaders from his work for more than 20 years of working with leaders to increase their effectiveness in their professional and personal lives.
