APALA/Advertising Production Association of Los Angeles

The Advertising Production Association of Los Angeles is a nonprofit professional organization, comprised of professionals in various fields including graphic communications, print production, advertising production, publishing, digital production and new media. The association’s mission is to promote the interests of production managers, traffic managers and advertising project managers by facilitating career growth opportunities, educational programs and the exchange of information with our peers.

The APALA, founded in 1945, has a long history in the graphic arts community in Southern California. It was originally known as the Advertising Agency Production Men’s Club, and later became the Advertising Production Manager’s Club when women and non-agency producers were allowed to join. The organization has grown with the Los Angeles market to meet the needs of its members and the community that it serves.

The APALA provides educational forums conducted by industry professionals and experts in the graphic arts industry. It also promotes the advancement of members by sponsoring career-enhancing workshops and programs. Through its APALA online website, it provides membership networking opportunities and access to industry leaders.

The APALA is dedicated to supporting this network of professionals in print and digital media production throughout the graphic communications industry.
