Now announcing a special wine tasting event: Niko's Family Restaurant, in association with Nestor Imports, presents The Next Generation of Greek Wines!

This 7-wine, 6-course wine tasting dinner will be hosted by Theo Stamatiou (certified sommelier) and Bill Pastras (trained chef and wine director) both of Nestor Imports, the leading USA importer of Greek wines.

These wine experts will demonstrate in exquisite detail, with perfect pairing, how Greek wines have developed over the last decade, and will showcase the sophistication of Greece's new vintages, which have developed extraordinary qualities while still remaining affordable.

Some of the rising stars featured at this tasting will include Assyrtiko Santorini 2008, Moschofilero Mantinia 2008, and Oenodea White 2008, all fresh vintages from some of Greece's most up-and-coming wineries.  

For just $30 per person, plus tax and tip, you can enjoy three rounds of mezedes (Greek tapas or small plates), a salad course, an entree, and a homemade Greek dessert, each expertly paired with a new Greek wine (two with the entree.) Reservations are strongly recommended for this event.

It's all happening on Wednesday, November 18th, starting at 7 pm, at Niko's Mediterranean Grill & Bistro, located on the corner of West 76th Street and Broadway.
