The One Day Training for Returning Volunteers is a full day class for returning VITA volunteers that want to to recertify for this upcoming tax year and to further their knowledge of tax law. In addtion to covering the basic course content, this class will lay the groundwork for volunteers to certify at the intermediate or advanced level online following the class. This certification path covers all Basic lessons with the addition of more diverse return preparation needs for wage and pension earners as well as those receiving social security and simple self-employment activities. The class will also cover VITA site procedures, screening and interviewing skills, and safeguarding the confidentiality of taxpayer information.
