Our topic this month for our Trends and Changes in ICT Series. is "Web 2.0 and the “consumerization” of IT " by Alex Cameron, IT Infrastructure Architect / Planner at Bell Aliant.   Technologies used to power popular consumer-oriented applications will eventually saturate the corporate market.  This is leading to the "consumerization" of the enterprise market

TOPIC: Web 2.0 and the “consumerization” of IT.

Event Overview    Alex will talk about the recent phenomenon known as Web 2.0 and the “consumerization” of IT.  Are the changes in the consumer internet through companies like MySpace, YouTube and SecondLife important in the enterprise space?  If so how and how should we prepare?

Alex Cameron - Biography

Alex is an IT Infrastructure Architect / Planner at Bell Aliant based in Saint John, NB.  Alex has been in the IT Industry for over 25 years with over 15 years experience in architecture and planning of client and collaboration services at Bell Aliant, formerly NBTel.  Alex is an expert in collaboration services and was one of the primary architects of the Bell Aliant collaboration strategy, SharePoint implementation and emerging Web 2.0 and Social Networking research.
