Peace Corps Volunteers serve in 74 countries around the globe and there are engineering needs in many of them. But Peace Corps Volunteers don't just transfer skills and knowledge to host country nationals to help improve lives and create sustainable development; they also immerse themselves in a new culture, become fluent in a second language, and end up having a life-changing experience. The benefits of service are 3 months of training, $6,000 readjustment allowance, two graduate school opportunities, a living stipend, full medical benefits, and non-competitive eligibility status for federal jobs.
So come see Jason Beach, Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, at the Agriculture, Forestry, and Consumer Sciences Fair to learn more about Peace Corps opportunities. Jason will also be giving an info session this evening to talk about his Peace Corps experience and answer any questions that you may have.
