In order to help address the problems in our community as a result of the current economic crisis, the California State University Office of the Chancellor Center for Community Engagement has made funding available to the California State University, Dominguez Hills Center for Service Learning, Internships and Civic Engagement to support our Town Hall meeting on Saturday, November 7.
Purposes of the Town Hall:
· To engage communities in conversations about needs and assets as a result of this current economic crisis.
· To strengthen partnerships between the campus and the community.
· To provide a foundation of information to seek solutions to help address these needs.
Areas of Focus: The Town Hall meeting will address specific needs and assets in these areas: food security; housing/shelter; and financial literacy.
Outcomes: The Town Hall will provide the Office of the Chancellor and the University
· A report on the outcomes of the Town Hall, including community needs and focus group reports.
