We have reached capacity for the space we have this month and have now opened up a waiting list. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list, please provide your information and we will contact you if a space becomes available. It will be on a first come - first served basis. The Waiting list is located at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/49229246
NOTE: We will be looking for a larger space for the March event. If you have any suggestions, please email kristiewells [at] gmail [dot] com. ------------------------------------------------------

Social Media Club has been organized for the purpose of sharing best practices, establishing ethics and standards, and promoting media literacy around the emerging area of Social Media. This is the beginning of a global conversation about building an organization and a community where the many diverse groups of people who care about social media can come together to discover, connect, share, and learn.

The fine folks over at anthonyBarnum PR firm will lead the inaugural meeting of Social Media Club Austin.

The focus of this roundtable will be to discover what elements of Social Media the participants are involved in / interested in, and what the local group hopes to get out of SMC.

The event is FREE to attend, though we would like to ask you to register at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/44601404 so we can prepare the space for your arrival.

There are a couple items we feel important for you to note:

* The conference room is located just off the reception area.

* The front doors will lock at 6:00; we'll try to have someone stationed near the entrance to accommodate latecomers -- but you don't want to miss out on anything, so do your best to get there by 5:30.

* The parking lot is unavailable to attendees, so grab the first metered space you find. No need to feed the meters during the evening hours.

See you there!
