The Michigan Pro Athletes Charity (MPAC) will be hosting the 1st Annual Halloween Pancake Boo-reakfast, on Sunday, October 25, 2009, at the Doubletree Guest Suites Fort Shelby (Downtown Detroit), located at 525 West Lafayette Blvd, Detroit, MI 48226.
Many of you will remember us before the name change to MPAC as the Detroit Lions Professional Retired Football Players Charity. Although our name has changed, our mission has not! MPAC is a 501c3 non-profit organization that is supported by the Retired National Football League Professional Association (NFLPA). Our mission is to develop and collaborate with programs that support youth health, sports, education, and community. We NEED YOUR HELP in order to continue motivating, encouraging, and shaping our youth into successful productive responsible citizens.
MPAC’s Halloween Pancake Boo-reakfast is an opportunity for all to come together and fellowship while helping MPAC raise funds for very worthy causes in Southeastern Michigan. MPAC has a very ambitious student support schedule for the coming school year (September 2009 – June 2010). The need in our communities keeps growing and so must our efforts. In the past, we have supported organizations and programs including the Crockett High School Athletic Department, Think Detroit PAL, Midnight Golf, March of Dimes Special Olympics, Barat House, City of Hope, Capuchin Soup Kitchen, and the Sound Mind, Sound Body Football Academies.
