Protein Purification
Students will use column chromatography to isolate the fluorescent proteins from a mixture of cell debris.
The proteins can either be extracted from the transformed cells or supplied from our lab. We will provide you with all the necessary materials to complete this lab, including a mini-centrifuge.
In this training you will:
- Learn about protein purification and how it is used in current research.
- Participate in lecture/discussion with a UCSD researcher and visit a research lab.
