Getting Started with a Social Media Strategy

Kate Miltner, a London-based lead planner at Jam @ Engine.

Wednesday, 26th September from 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Jumpstart your social media strategy with a pro during London's annual Social Media Week.

Social Media can be a great way to get the word out about your business or product-- but only if you do it right. Not every social network or platform is the right match for every business. This class will teach you how to get started on the right foot by giving you the tools to evaluate what social platforms are right for your company.

Attendees will participate in a hands-on workshop that will help them create a basic platform strategy based upon their company's target audience, objectives, and available resources. This class is ideal for students who have a basic understanding of social media tools such as Tumblr, Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook. You will leave understanding the pros and cons and best practices for each platform.

Kate Miltner is a London-based social media expert who received her MSc from the London School of Economics by writing a dissertation on LOLCats. She loves the internet, organizing and moderating panels, taking photos and singing karaoke.
