Event Details

Poached pears can be enjoyed as a simple dessert on their own, made into sorbet, served as an accompaniment to cake and ice cream, or sliced to top a fruit tart. In this class, you will learn the basics of canning fruit in syrup as well as using a water bath canner. Each participant will take home their own jar of poached pears at the end of the class. Robin Berger is an award-winning canner and blogs at Hippo Flambe.
