Event Details
We will visit Frederick County, MD's three covered bridges, the Loy's Station Bridge, Roddy Road Bridge, and the Utica Mills Bridge. Each of these Bridges was first constructed circa 1848-1850. The Loy's Station Bridge (circa 1848) has been structurally modified and rebuilt but the original timbers remain. The Utica Mills Bridge (circa 1850) originally spanned the Monocacy River. The bridge washed away during a flood in 1889. Each of these bridges is within 11 miles of each other. Bring an umbrella and/or some other protection for your camera in case of rain.
