Event Details

Azimuth Projects & Sunday Dinner have been collaborating for the last two years, connecting artists and diners through interactive dinners where artists present their work to guests at SDC dinners. On Sunday September 16th from 3-6 pm, we'll present our 2nd pop up art gallery & backyard bbq in Logan Square at 2704 N. Whipple. Tickets are inclusive of: SDC's farmer's market burger, a seasonal side dish, locally made art and backyard ambience. Oh! And rumor has it complimentary adult beverages will be present. (You know, to wash down the tasty burger.)

The Burger
+ Fresh-Ground, Hand-Pattied, Grilled-to-Order Heartland Beef Burger
+ Green Acres Sun Gold Tomato Mayo
+ Brunkow Horseradish Cheddar
+ Green Acres Arugula
+ Locally Made Bread Bun
The Side
+ Seasonal, based on what is at the market that week (Ooo! Spontaneous side dish!)

The Art

Punishment and Protest, a two person exhibition featuring works from Jason Dunda (painting on paper using ink and gouache) and Jaclyn Jakunski (etching, silk screen and colleague). Punishment and Protest creates a visual context to view political action and social unrest through the prism of subtle gesture aided by line, volume, ink and washes of color. Both artists excel in a game of compositional mastery, engaging with subtitle vernacular imagery and language posited against a backdrop of real and imagined public space.
