Arduino 101 - Get your own Arduino and Learn to Program it!
Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (EDT)
Brooklyn, United States
This is your friendly introductory class to micro-controllers, sensors, and switches. In this three-hour class we will:
- Learn about the capabilities of the Arduino board
- Learn how to program it using the Arduino environment
- Wire up several circuits and load up code to read sensors and make an LED blink
When you leave, you'll have a micro-controller, a USB cable, a half size breadboard, and a few programs to play with.
Please be ready to start at 1pm! We find that you will need this time to get through the whole class. Our classes tend to sell out about a week in advance so if you're interested, you should sign up early.
Please bring a laptop with the Arduino environment preinstalled on it. It's available at http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software. This saves time but we'll help you through it during class if you have any trouble.
The class will be taught by NYC Resistor members Dustyn Roberts & Mimi Hui.
