We invite you to join the EWC table at the Athena Awards luncheon on
Monday, September 21, 2009
12 to 1:30 p.m.
at the
Westin Convention Center Hotel.
Registration begins at 11:30 a.m.
This is an especially happy occasion for EWC since one of our own long-time members, Georgia Berner, President & CEO of Berner International, is one of the finalists for this year's award.
Cost for a seat is $55 for EWC member and $65 for non-members. Please register no later than September 10 to guarantee your place at the table. We will place later registrants on a waiting list and arrange for a second table if one is warranted. Keynote speaker for the luncheon is Judge Cristina Perez, host of the nationally syndicated “Cristina’s Court.” She is a successful lawyer, Emmy Award-winning television personality, radio host, national author, columnist and a devoted mother and wife. She is also the founder of Perez Gonzalez, A Professional Law Corporation.

The Executive Women's Council (EWC), Greater Pittsburgh, Inc., was created to provide enrichment, support, and a source of collective influence for executive and professional women in Pittsburgh. The Council was formed in 1975 by a group of women who held responsible positions within the local industry, education, government, private institutions, and the professions. After 30 years, it remains today a unique organization that provides opportunities for qualified women in various fields to meet and interact.
EWC activities include a variety of committees on which to serve, an active communication mechanism via an e-newsletter and listserv, a Women in Leadership Program, a Women on Boards Initiative, an EWC Woman of Achievement Award, and networking opportunities that include educational programs.
